The gold tier of the Academy and the strategic moat for the Aperintel studio. The Apprenticeship is invitation only, offered to the top decile of graduates across the four paid tracks. Apprentices are allocated to a real Aperintel client engagement, paired with a senior contractor, and ship a production deliverable over twelve to twenty-four weeks. Compensation is a stipend or revenue share, depending on the engagement.
At the end of every paid cohort, the top ten per cent of graduates receive a private invitation to apply for the Apprenticeship. The selection is based on the cohort rubric (architectural reasoning, shipping discipline, documentation quality, verification), the capstone deliverable, and the peer-review and instructor judgement across the full cohort.
Application is one paragraph: what you would want to apprentice on, and what you could contribute. Allocation is based on fit with current Aperintel client engagements (Collstack-Lectern, PaulaQI, and others as they come on-stream). Multiple Apprentices can be active simultaneously on different engagements; the studio's growth depends on this.
There is no separate application route. You earn the invitation by being in the top decile of a paid cohort. The £5,000 fee covers the structured curriculum component of the Apprenticeship; the engagement itself produces a stipend or revenue share that typically exceeds the fee within the first three months, depending on the project's commercial terms.
Real code, deployed to a real client's infrastructure, used by real users. Anonymised in your public portfolio where commercial confidentiality requires, with the client's consent on what can be discussed.
Specific to the engagement, naming what you shipped and the impact, signed by the founder. The kind of reference that hiring managers and clients trust because it is verifiable.
Anonymised where required, attributable where the client permits. The kind of evidence that distinguishes Apprenticeship graduates from people who did a coding bootcamp.
Lifetime Discord alumni access. Quarterly reunion calls. Alumni-only office hours. Introductions to the broader Aperintel network as opportunities arise.
When Aperintel takes on new engagements after your Apprenticeship completes, Apprentices have first refusal on subsequent paid contractor work matched to their skillset. This is the strategic moat the Apprenticeship builds for the studio.
Apprenticeships are not applied for directly. They are earned by being in the top decile of a paid cohort. Foundation is the entry-level rung; AI Native, Production, and Founders are the three rungs above. Top decile across any of those four cohorts is the eligibility bar.
