Who we are
The Aperintel AI Academy is operated by Aperintel, a sole-trader business based in the United Kingdom trading as Aperintel. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "Academy", it means Aperintel operating the academy at academy.aperintel.com. You can reach us at academy@aperintel.com for any privacy-related query or request.
What personal data we collect and why
Booking and registration data
When you register for a course or taster session, we collect your name and email address. We use this to process your booking, send your confirmation and pre-session materials, and manage your place in the cohort. The lawful basis is performance of a contract.
Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us only the metadata needed to confirm a successful payment, such as the last four digits of the card, the billing country, and the transaction reference. The lawful basis is performance of a contract and, where VAT records are required, a legal obligation.
Cookie consent records
When you make a choice in our cookie consent banner, we record your session identifier, the categories you accepted, the timestamp, and your IP address. We do not store any other personal data in this record. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically our obligation to demonstrate that consent was given for non-essential cookies.
Technical and usage data
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Plausible Analytics to record anonymised page views and referral sources. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect or share personal data. If you reject analytics cookies, no analytics data is collected about your visit.
How long we keep your data
| Data type | Retention period | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Booking and registration records | Duration of course plus 2 years | Dispute resolution and contractual obligations |
| Payment records and invoices | 7 years from the date of transaction | HMRC statutory accounting obligation |
| Cookie consent records | 1 year from the date of consent | Regulatory compliance record |
| Staff login audit records | 1 year from the date of the event | Security monitoring and incident response |
Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with the third-party processors necessary to operate the Academy, each bound by a data processing agreement:
- Stripe, payment processing (the lawful basis for the transfer is performance of a contract and adequacy where applicable)
- Resend, transactional email delivery (confirmation emails, reset emails)
- Supabase, database hosting on European infrastructure
- Vercel, website hosting (edge nodes may be global but request data is not persistently stored outside the EEA)
- Sentry, error monitoring (error reports are scrubbed of passwords, tokens, and email addresses before transmission)
- Plausible Analytics, anonymised page-view analytics, only when you have accepted analytics cookies
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

- Objection, where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object and we will assess whether those interests override yours
