Terms of service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Acceptance
By enrolling in any course offered by the Aperintel AI Academy, operated by Aperintel (a sole-trader business based in the United Kingdom, trading as Aperintel), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you are enrolling on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms and that "you" refers to that entity.
2. The services
The Academy provides cohort-based live training in AI engineering across six tracks: the Taster Session, Foundation Track, AI Native Engineer Track, Production Engineer Track, Founders and Builders Track, and Apprenticeship. Each track is described in full on its course page, including the number of weeks, the weekly time commitment, the session schedule, and the capstone requirement. Those descriptions form part of the contract between you and Aperintel.
We reserve the right to reschedule individual sessions where necessary due to instructor illness or technical failure, and we will provide at least 48 hours' notice of any such change. If a full cohort cannot proceed, we will offer a full refund or a transfer to the next available cohort.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to enrol independently. Students aged 16 or 17 may enrol with the written consent of a parent or guardian, who will be the contracting party. We do not accept enrolments from students under 16.
4. Payment
Course fees are as stated on the relevant course page at the time of booking. All prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe. You can pay in full at booking or, for courses of £499 and above, by the deposit plan described on the course page, where 25% is due at booking and the remainder is due at least 5 working days before the cohort start date. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in your place being released.
Where the balance is not paid and your place is released, the deposit is forfeited. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before the balance due date.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to attend sessions prepared, to treat other participants and the instructor with respect, to complete the weekly assignments to the best of your ability, and not to share course materials outside the cohort without written permission from Aperintel. Persistent disruptive behaviour, harassment, or sharing of paid materials without permission may result in removal from the cohort without a refund.
6. Intellectual property
All course materials, slides, code examples, and written content produced by Aperintel for the Academy remain the intellectual property of Aperintel. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own learning during and after the cohort. You may not reproduce, sell, or redistribute them. Skills and knowledge you acquire through the course are yours to use in any way you choose, and nothing in these terms restricts your ability to build and ship your own products.
7. Refunds
Our full refund policy is at academy.aperintel.com/refund-policy.html. By confirming your booking you acknowledge that you are booking a live digital training service and you agree that, once the first session of your cohort has started, your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 no longer applies.
8. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, Aperintel's total liability to you in connection with any course, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, will not exceed the amount you have paid for that course. We are not liable for any loss of income, business, profits, data, or goodwill, whether direct or indirect, arising from your participation in or absence from a course.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Before initiating legal proceedings, we ask that you contact us at academy@aperintel.com so that we have the opportunity to resolve the matter directly.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Changes will not affect enrolments that are already confirmed and paid at the time of the change, except where required by law. For future enrolments, the terms in force at the time of booking will apply.
For questions about these terms, contact academy@aperintel.com.
